How to Start a One-on-One Video Match

1. Open matching when you are ready

2. Check your free matches and any call costs

Look at the matching allowance and balance shown in your session before you begin. Free matching means you can try meeting someone; it does not mean unlimited free video calls. Matching, video time, gifts and optional features may use different allowances.

3. Prepare your phone's camera and microphone

Open MatchGirl in a supported browser with a stable connection. Set your phone on a steady surface at about eye level, put a light in front of you and check that the background does not reveal personal information.

• Allow permissions when ready. Your browser controls camera and microphone access. If you previously blocked the site, change the permission in browser settings.
• Check the right devices. On a computer, make sure the selected camera and microphone are the ones you intend to use.
• Keep the call in the foreground. Another app may interrupt camera access. If the link opened inside a social app, try your regular browser.

If you speak different languages, free text translation can help with written messages alongside the video conversation. Use short sentences and check the meaning of unfamiliar phrases. Voice recognition and translation are separate VIP features.

5. Leave or start another match on your terms

You can end a conversation when you choose. If you want to meet someone else, return to matching and check your remaining allowance. A successful connection does not obligate you to stay or share contact details.

Never share your address, passwords or payment information in a chat. Another participant could capture what you show or say, so a one-on-one call is not a guarantee against recording.
