How to Allow Camera and Microphone Access for Video Chat
A short checklist to get your devices ready for a two-way video conversation.
Start with a trusted page
Open MatchGirl in your browser, then enter the video experience when you are ready. Camera and microphone permissions are requested by the browser for the site you are using. Read the site name in the prompt before deciding whether to allow access.
You do not need to grant camera access merely to read this guide.
If you previously blocked access
Open the browser’s site information or website settings for MatchGirl. Find the camera and microphone permissions and change the blocked setting if you want to use those features. Exact labels vary by browser and operating system.
Your operating system may separately prevent the browser from accessing the camera or microphone. Review the browser’s permissions in your device privacy settings if website permission alone does not resolve the issue.
Choose the right device
If you use a USB webcam, headset or Bluetooth microphone, confirm it is connected and selected where input selection is available. Close another application that may be using the camera. Reload the video experience after saving changes.
Check before connecting
- Look at your camera framing and background.
- Confirm your microphone is not muted.
- Use headphones if you hear echo.
- Check your available access and call charges.
If the camera is still unavailable, follow camera troubleshooting. Otherwise, return to cam to cam chat or read the full setup guide.
